Airtable Inventory & Invoice Automation Setup Overall, I'd rate the experience as satisfactory, but not exceptional.

At the beginning of the project, I created a prioritized list of tasks (1–9). She reviewed it and estimated that completing the initial priorities (#1 and #9) would take approximately 17–20 hours. Based on that estimate, I set the weekly hour limit expecting those priorities to be completed within the first week, or at most the second.

Instead, the full weekly allocation of hours was used without completing the agreed-upon priorities. When I pointed out that the project had already exceeded her estimated 17–20 hours and was at 24 hours with the work still unfinished, she apologized and offered to complete the remaining work without charging additional time. However, the project still stretched on for another two weeks.

My biggest concern was the communication and overall efficiency. Progress often moved much slower than expected because I repeatedly had to identify discrepancies or issues myself. Even relatively simple corrections typically required waiting until the next day for a response and another revision. This created unnecessary delays throughout the project.

The other major issue was communication across time zones. I would send messages during my business hours, and she would respond during hers while I was asleep. This cycle repeated throughout the project, making even small questions take 24 hours or more to resolve. It often felt like she was working entirely on her own schedule rather than collaborating around the project's needs.

The quality of the work itself was acceptable at above entry level. I had to call out many corrections that were straight forward. The inaccurate time estimates, extended timelines, and slow communication made the overall experience more difficult than it should have been. For clients who value predictable timelines, efficient communication, and staying close to estimated hours, these are important factors to consider.
