Use this solution to extract structured data from a series of PDFs/CSV/Spreadsheets or OFX files.
For example: A user has many Bank Statements in PDF format and wants to build a single transaction history, from statements from different accounts and Banks.
The user would define a meta-template for each unique format that would define what structured data fields are required. These data fields would typically be: TRANSACTION_ID (Optional), SOURCE_BANK/ACC, DATE, TRANSACTION_DESCRIPTION, AMOUNT.
The user would load the source files into a hosted folder like DropBox, using names that define each format.
The solution would extract the required data and update a single transaction file/spreadsheet in date sequence listed all relevent transctions.
The solution also allows the user to provide a "lookup" list that matches a sub-string in each transction to link additional misc grouping fields to each transaction.
