You will get historical market data on any cryptocurrency supported by the CoinGecko platform. I have developed an R package (geckor) that uses the public CoinGecko API to collect such data in an easy-to-analyse tabular form. I regularly collect such data for my own purposes (cryptocurrency trading and research), and I will be happy to help you compile a similar high-quality dataset.
The dataset will include the following columns:
- date
- name of the cryptocurrency
- name of the base currency used to express the price of the cryptocurrency
- price
- total trading volume
- market cap
