My role at AH initially focussed an upgrade & migration of a key system into new data centres. This involved detailed interface and firewall analysis, extensive cross-team coordination, and supporting improvements to UK architecture standards and long-term enterprise roadmaps. I then moved into a newly formed Mergers & Acquisitions architecture team, helping define processes and tooling. I co-created an M&A Playbook, built reusable templates, defined integration roadmaps, and drove strong governance through technical discovery, “security alignment, and cloud security best practices across Azure, AWS and GCP.
To strengthen collaboration, I established and chaired an Architecture Board focused on M&A strategy and enterprise alignment. Through this forum, gaps emerged in procurement, design and project management processes for acquisitions, and I worked with global architecture and PMO leaders to begin shaping a scalable solution.
My 4 years+ role at WBA involved designing and documenting technical solutions, not just in the SAP arena, but across a wide range of technologies, adopting a holistic approach across the infrastructure available (on-premise as well as the cloud). This involved co-ordinating & co-operating with SMEs & teams to produce High Level Design documents and technical network and infrastructure diagrams. These HLDs detailed the optimal solution that both supported the core business requirements and also met wider strategic goals and took into account scalability, high availability and disaster recovery as appropriate. Other key tasks performed were peer reviews and evaluation and improvement of documentation standards, and ensuring necessary due diligence was performed for all designs.
My previous expertise is in SAP Basis installations, performance tuning, problem resolution and printing issues across various SAP platforms, DB & OS versions, as well as SAP Technical Architecture and SAP Technical Lead / Project Management.
