Review Android App My Experience With Freelancer Anser Manzer – A Public Warning

In February of this year, I hired a freelancer named Anser Manzer, who represented themselves as running an agency with a full team. The job was to build my app, a project scoped to take nine weeks. I entered the contract with good faith, expecting professionalism, accountability, and results. What I received instead was months of wasted time, poor communication, and an app that is still incomplete even after more than half a year.

The Promising First Month

At the start, things looked fine. The first month went smoothly — communication was good, meetings were scheduled, and I saw some progress. I thought I had made the right choice by hiring Anser and their so-called team. Unfortunately, after March the project slowed down dramatically. Meetings began to be constantly rescheduled, communication became poor and inconsistent, and it became clear that my project was not a priority.

Five Months of Failure With Google Play

The most serious failure came in the form of Google Play submissions. For over five months, my app failed Google Play review repeatedly, always for basic reasons any experienced Android developer should have known how to resolve. They submitted the app with incorrect permissions, let logins expire so Google could not complete review, and failed to set up the app to pass required security checks. Instead of fixing these problems, the project stalled. Excuses were given while nothing meaningful moved forward. I was told this was a “team” project, yet no one seemed to have the technical knowledge to solve issues that should have been straightforward.

I Had To Solve It Myself

Perhaps the most shocking part is that I am not an Android developer — yet I was the one who ultimately had to research the Google Play problems and tell Anser and their team exactly what to do. I spent my own time studying Google’s requirements, reading documentation, and identifying what was wrong with the app submission process. It was only last week — after five months of failures and after I spelled out what needed to be done — that the app finally passed Google Play review. Even then, it only passed for closed testing, just enough for them to check Google App Actions. The app itself remains unfinished.

From Nine Weeks to Over Half a Year

This project was supposed to be finished in nine weeks. Instead, it dragged on for more than six months. During that time, I saw meetings constantly rescheduled, communication break down, failure to resolve basic technical issues, excuses instead of progress, and a lack of accountability. After all this wasted time, I officially fired Anser Manzer today. The app is still incomplete, and I am left with the frustration of having invested months with nothing delivered as promised.

Running It Like an Agency

One of the major selling points was that Anser was running this as an agency with a full team. In reality, it felt like disorganization disguised as a company. Despite claiming to have resources and expertise, they could not handle fundamental parts of the job. If there was a team, they did not operate like one. If it was just Anser acting as a solo freelancer, then the representation was misleading. Either way, the result was the same: a lack of competence and accountability.

Lessons Learned

I share this publicly not out of spite, but out of a responsibility to others considering hiring Anser Manzer or their supposed agency. Lessons learned:

Good communication in the first month does not guarantee long-term commitment.

Do not accept endless rescheduling; it’s a red flag.

Basic Google Play issues should not take months to solve.

If you find yourself doing the research and telling them how to do their job, something is very wrong.

An “agency” label means nothing without results.

Final Recommendation

This has been one of the most disappointing professional experiences I’ve had. A project that should have taken nine weeks turned into half a year of wasted time, endless delays, poor communication, and failure to deliver. To anyone considering hiring Anser Manzer or working with their supposed agency: I strongly recommend against it. If you value reliability, accountability, and actual delivery, look elsewhere.

🤝 How I Work
Every client gets a clear milestone plan before any code is written. Scope, timeline, and deliverables are agreed on upfront so we both know exactly what success looks like. On hourly contracts I send weekly memos covering exactly what was completed that week, what is coming next, and anything that needs your input. I respond within 48 hours guaranteed and I never go silent mid-project. Billing breakdowns are always provided in writing at each milestone so there are no surprises on the invoice.

I treat every project as unique. I align your business goals with technical execution and make smart decisions around features, budget, and timelines. My code is clean, organized, and built to scale with your product as it grows.

💼 Why Clients Work With Me Long Term
I have active contracts that have been running for 6 to 12 months because clients do not have to chase me. They get consistent updates, predictable delivery, and a developer who genuinely cares about the outcome of their product, not just closing a ticket.
