My experience with Upwork was negative and disappointing. The platform's interface is confusing and unclear—it's challenging to understand how to hire a freelancer or deposit funds. Conversations with freelancers were frequently blocked at the start without clear reasons, which significantly complicated communication. The payment and refund system is non-transparent and unintuitive. Arbitration isn't immediately accessible when disputes arise, making refunds complicated and lengthy. Additionally, I was disappointed by the low quality of work provided by freelancers.
