I built the full AI layer for MediConnect, a HIPAA-compliant healthcare platform. This includes a symptom checker using AWS Bedrock (Claude 3 Haiku) with AWS Comprehend Medical as a gatekeeper that blocks non-medical queries before they reach the LLM — saving inference cost and preventing misuse. A clinical imaging analysis endpoint that accepts X-ray and MRI images and returns structured clinical interpretations. A risk prediction engine returning sepsis probability, 30-day readmission risk, and no-show probability with clinical justification. A consultation summariser that auto-generates SOAP notes from transcripts. All four features use a three-provider circuit breaker — Claude, Gemini, and GPT-4 — so no single provider outage disables any feature.
Every AI response passes through a PII scrubber before reaching the client. No hallucinated patient data ever gets stored or displayed.
