I hand-code my sites using a modern, fast web framework, and a modern styling system. I don't use bulky content management systems(CMS) that tend to cause sites to run slow due to bloated plugins. The framework I use is also able to be updated without potentially breaking anything, so security is always there, unlike CMS. The framework I use is also designed with SEO best practices in mind. The end result is a very fast, responsive website with a virtually 100% uptime and very high lighthouse scores.
