That works until a second type of user needs access — then you discover the
permissions were never really there.
We build multi-role systems properly. Our main body of work is a school
management platform running enrolment, attendance, exams and fee collection
across five user roles: admin, teacher, accountant, auditor, parent. Each
role's permissions are enforced at the API layer, not hidden in the
interface. We've also built a case management system for municipal
government and a bilingual field monitoring tool for conservation staff
working offline.
