I just finished a 300,000+ LoC product with a team of 5, in just 4 months. 🔥
TypeScript + Python monorepo, microservices, an elaborate background job orchestration with Temporal, self-hosted AI models (with reserved GPU infrastructure), multiple types of databases and stores, deployed to Kubernetes, and integrations with a dozen external systems - It is not a toy project.
A year ago this would've needed 10+ people and 9-12 months of development time.
Here is how we did it:
- ⫚ Every engineer works 2-5 tasks in parallel.
- 🤖👱♂️ PR reviews are hybrid - AI first, last say is always human. The quality of your architectural decisions now matters more than raw coding speed ever did.
- 🔨 The stack is Cursor + variety of models with carefully chosen plugins and MCPs, and a lot of systematized documentation, specs, plans and rules.
- 🎨 🤖 Our designer uses AI to produce the bulk of her output in UI design and marketing materials - refining by hand after the initial generations.
Can you learn how to do all this on your own? Absolutely. But you will need to spend months and tens of thousands of $'s in experimentation until you get where my 1-3h workshop gets you.
