Project details

Web scraping is the process of structuring data from a particular website. You can extract information such as text, dates, prices, and more in a matter of seconds. However, it is not particularly easy to set up and can be costly to buy an external solution - you also do not own your data.

This project will provide you with your own web scraper infrastructure, running on Railway App (https:// railway.app?referralCode=kZ5j9A). You only pay for the cost of running the server after the first 5$. A single page scraping is also included, up to 3 data elements.

Scope:
 • Set up the Railway App account
 • Set up the web scraper infrastructure
 • Secure the infrastructure
 • Test the web scraper
 • Create one page scraping (e.g., get today's mortgage interest rate at bank ABC)
 • Provide a cheat sheet on how to use it

Please note this project is focused on delivering a web scraper infrastructure, so you don't need to pay yearly subscriptions to an external vendor. Any scraping work beyond the single page that is included would be a separate project.
