I am a certified Scottish Highland Dance Instructor with 11 years of teaching and 25 years of experience as a dancer. I will first introduce Scottish history & culture and share how that has influenced the art & sport of Highland dance. Then, I will teach you the basic dance movements that will eventually lead you to famous warrior dances such as the victorious Highland Fling and the superstitious Sword Dance. Scottish dance is rich in tradition and storytelling, but it is also an art form and sport! We will be moving our bodies and getting creative with fun choreographies to today's music.
