This was a challenging project to complete and Ali's team at Zweidevs worked hard to push through a number of issues to successfully go live. They were always available to answer queries, and I hope to continue working with them in the future.

I recommend under-promising and under-delivering. Estimates should include extra time to handle unexpected things, so there isn't always a request for more time and funds to complete the result or outcome described by the client.

Subscription-Based VST/AU Plugin with AI Voice Changing Technology
If you are considering working with Ali or Zweidevs I URGE you to read this first. I hired Ali Zain and Zweidevs to develop both a standalone audio application and a website with an initial agreed-upon budget of $16,000–$18,000. Over the course of 7 months, 680 hours and $20,830 in payments, what I received was a barely functional application and a completely unusable website — both of which I ultimately had to pay other developers to rebuild from scratch.
I’ll be completely honest — when I first hired Ali and Zweidevs, I was new to running a software company. That inexperience was quickly taken advantage of and exploited to the fullest extent. What was initially pitched as a “2-month project” dragged on for seven exhausting months, with deadline after deadline missed and excuse after excuse given. Eventually, I had no choice but to bring in separate contractors to rebuild the application and website from the ground up. By the end of the contract, I had been charged over $5,000 above the agreed-upon budget, with vague and condescending explanations offered in place of any real accountability. The team repeatedly failed to deliver on their promises and operated with deeply unethical practices throughout. Communication was consistently poor, deadlines were disregarded, and meetings were often canceled without warning. At one point, Ali even pressured me to raise his hourly rate under false pretenses — a maneuver designed to reduce hours billed on paper while he took on additional side jobs — ultimately resulting in a 250% rate increase and a rapid depletion of the budget.
Worse, I was never provided with a proper written breakdown of costs despite multiple requests. The lack of transparency, misrepresentation of progress, and blatant exploitation of Upwork’s hourly billing system made it clear that this was not a professional operation, but a calculated effort to squeeze as much money out of the contract as possible with minimal accountability.
The only reason I stuck around with them is because, natively, I had faith and hope that I’d be delivered the software I’d dreamed of building. As someone who’s gone through this process, let me urge you to consider that there’s a million other developers and teams you can work with who aren’t going to scam you, take advantage of you, and deliver non-functional software and websites.
Anyways, I’m not going to post them because they contain sensitive material about the company itself, but I’ve kept detailed records of the violations, including (but not limited to):
• Non-consensual billing over $5,000 above the agreed budget
• Misrepresentation of services and failure to deliver agreed work
• Fraudulent pricing tactics
• Unresponsive and disrespectful communication
• Deceptive and exploitative business practices
This experience was an enormous waste of time and money. I’ve filed a formal complaint with Upwork and would strongly urge anyone considering working with Ali Zain or Zweidevs to think twice. You deserve better.
