Project details

You will receive your Japanese ancestor's family register where you can find the name, birthday, adaption and previous marriage history of your ancestor as well as information about your ancestor's parents, siblings, and close relatives.

To obtain your Japanese ancestor's family register, you need to prepare the information of your ancestor's permanent residence (old address), which you can find on your ancestor's passport or old official documents, and the evidential documents to prove the linkage between you and your ancestor, which can be your parent's birth certificate, your parent's marriage certificate, and your birth certificate etc. Your signed Power of Attorney (I will provide you with the prepared format) is also necessary to obtain the family register from the local municipality.

I will submit the local municipality copies of your prepared documents with their Japanese translations to obtain the family register. (For PoA the original document is necessarily submitted.)

If you wish, I will search for related information about your ancestor or the area where your ancestor came from and make a brief report along with an English translation of the family register.

Certified Legal Specialist, Gyoseishoshi, Japan

Higashiosaka, Japan - 11:52 am local time
I am a certified legal specialist known as Gyoseishoshi based in Osaka, Japan.
Gyoseishoshi is a nationally licensed legal professional authorized under Japanese law to prepare a wide range of legal documents, including:

Applications for residency status (e.g., Certificate of Eligibility and visa applications)

Government license applications

Contracts and wills

Content-certified mail and notarial deeds

Support for notarization at a notary public

Legalization at embassies/consulates and apostille certification

Obtaining certified copies of family registers (Koseki), removed family registers (Joseki), and residence records (Juminhyo)

Obtaining Commercial registry certificates for Japanese companies

Accompaniment for procedures at government offices
(limited to locations accessible from Osaka City within 1.5 hours one way by train)

In addition, I provide immigration consultations and support for government grants and subsidies.

Please note: I am not a licensed attorney and therefore cannot represent clients in court proceedings.

I have extensive knowledge of immigration matters in Japan, including working visas, spouse visas, permanent residency, long-term residency, designated activities, and naturalization. I am qualified to act as an agent for visa/status applications and can submit required documents to any regional immigration office in Japan using the official electronic application system.

Depending on the type of visa, applicants are required to provide various supporting documents to demonstrate their eligibility. The requirements vary significantly based on the applicant's job or personal circumstances, and specialized knowledge is often necessary to successfully navigate the immigration examination process.

For clients seeking a Business Manager Visa, I also offer full support for establishing a company in Japan.
The process of setting up a company as a non-Japanese national involves complex and often confusing requirements. I assist clients by providing consultation and preparing all necessary documentation to meet legal and immigration standards.

Additionally, I have partnerships with specialists in Japanese genealogy. I personally assist descendants of Japanese immigrants in obtaining their ancestors' family registers (koseki) upon request. For those who wish to explore their family heritage in greater depth and create a full family tree, I can collaborate with genealogical experts to provide comprehensive ancestral records and genealogical reports.
