The research report (see sample) will include the following:
— copies of documents with translation
— explanations of data in a historical context
— family chart.
The full preliminary report will include:
— information on documents' preservation (many docs were destroyed during 2WW)
— perspectives of the research: what could be found, what couldn't be found and why, what depth
— citation of archival inventories
— checking of sources.
PLEASE NOTE
• There are no databases on Ukrainian archival records like MyHeritage or Ancestry. I work with "raw" documents through both on-the-ground archival access and online.
• From my years of experience: ¾ of immigrants gave altered places of birth in ship manifests, nearly all listed incorrect birth dates in naturalization acts, and 100% were insincere in their refugee cards. It complicates the research.
