I believe that the best way to learn math is to do math! Most of my sessions with students are spent completing practice problems. When we are starting with a new topic, I will walk students through the problem so they can see exactly how I would solve it. Then, once they are feeling more comfortable with a certain type of problem, we will switch roles so they can walk me through how to solve the problem. This allows me to identify exactly where they are struggling and work on that.
