Podcast Promotion Specialist Needed

After working successfully with dozens of remote contractors over 15 years for podcast production, websites, and marketing, I must share this disappointing experience to help others make informed decisions.
The Situation
We initially hired Raseduzzaman for a trial project on our podcast and saw acceptable results. Based on this, we engaged him for a second project with clearly defined deliverables. Unfortunately, he achieved only approximately 25% of the contracted results.
Our Efforts to Support Success
When it became clear he was falling behind, we extended the contract by three weeks. He committed to renewed effort and working harder to meet goals. Despite this additional time and his assurances, results remained well below expectations.
Communication Gaps
The contract specified weekly progress updates on our Apple Podcast rankings. I consistently had to request these updates rather than receiving them proactively. While he acknowledged not achieving desired results and expressed appreciation for the extension, follow-through remained minimal.
Technical Concerns
His primary explanation was that our podcast platform wasn't tracking downloads properly. However, we've used this same platform for 15 years. When we had technical support verify tracking functionality, they confirmed everything was working correctly.
Our Podcast's Top Track Record
To provide context: our podcast ranks in the top 1.5% globally in ListenNotes, has 150+ episodes, and over 900,000 downloads. We have established processes and documented success with this platform and other contractors.
Upwork's Resolution Process
I'm also disappointed with Upwork's dispute resolution approach. Despite extensive chat documentation showing our good-faith efforts, support for the contractor, and clear evidence of significant underperformance, their process felt rigid and insufficiently customer-focused.
Final Thoughts
I genuinely wish circumstances had been different—I would much rather write a positive review. Whatever prevented Raseduzzaman from meeting this contract or making stronger efforts despite our extension and support, I hope this information helps others make informed contractor selections.
