This person is a part of a Nigerian scam network. They use fake LinkedIn profiles to catch victims looking for work and sell resume-building services by some "Faith Heroic" (which I believe is a fake name as well).
There were many red flags from the very beginning:
1. "Faith Heroic" would at first accept payment only in cryptocurrency, but when I insisted they gave me the bank details of some other person. That specific payment bounced.
2. They kept pushing me to pay for more of their services without having completed the previous ones. For example they tried to convince me that I had too few followers on LinkedIn, and that I should hire "influencers" to drive traffic to my LinkedIn profile
3. They mentioned that they could also drive traffic to TikTok and Instagram, but luckily I didn't fall for that
4. When I saw through this scam and I asked for my money back I was told that it was non-refundable and that I had been made aware of that - which is not true.
I cut off all communication with this scam network but they wouldn't leave me alone - I've been receiving unsolicited WhatsApp messages from Nigerian phone numbers which I keep blocking and reporting to WhatsApp.
Warning to everyone in the Upwork community - if you found this contractor through "Faith Heroic", double-check the person who referred you to them and cut your losses while you can.
