Environment designs for 3D animated film
Outstanding environment designer. He completed the full environment design for an entire 3D animated film (30 mins) over several months, delivering consistently high-quality, coherent, and detailed work throughout. He was extremely patient, meticulous, and professional, handled feedback constructively, and always aimed to improve the final result rather than simply execute changes. I highly recommend Axel as an environment designer for animation and long-form narrative projects.
He was responsible for the complete environment design of an animated short film (30 mins), working over an extended development period of several months and maintaining a high level of visual consistency, narrative clarity, and detail across all locations. He demonstrated not only artistic skill but also production discipline, patience, flexibility, and a strong understanding of visual storytelling through environments.

If you have an opportunity to work with Axel, I highly recommend you take it. He was able to take some very rough animations and turn them into nicely polished animations that looked fantastic. He was conscientious of our budget, met important deadlines, and was great with communication despite the time difference. I'm an artist, 2D animator, and graphic designer from Buenos Aires, Argentina, currently based in Barcelona, Spain.
I've been working in animation since 2017, and I've had the opportunity to work on very interesting projects doing many different roles: including layout artist, motion graphics animator, 2D assistant animator, cleanup artist, background painter, character designer, visual development artist, and art director.
I'm very interested in visual development roles. I really like being involved early on to be able to pitch ideas. But I enjoy taking on roles covering the whole production, from early ideas and sketches, down to background painting, animation cleanup, and even compositing.
