You will get an engaging UGC video or photo carousel to sell your products

Project details
In today's digital age, establishing a strong brand presence is crucial for businesses to thrive and connect with their target audience. User-generated content (UGC) has emerged as a powerful tool for achieving these goals. By leveraging UGC, brands can tap into the authentic voices and experiences of their customers, creating a genuine and relatable connection that traditional marketing methods often struggle to achieve.
Through working with me as your UGC creator, you can elevate your online presence, drive customer engagement, and ultimately achieve success. Additionally, I bring extensive experience as a graphic designer, social media lead, and video producer at NASA, where I have honed my skills for the past four years. I've worked on brand campaigns with Dove, Good American, Sephora, JD Sports, Beauty Stat, My Outfit Online, and others.
By leveraging my creative and technical skills, I can showcase your products or services in a relatable and captivating way. Let's collaborate and make magic happen!

I found Aliyah to be a powerhouse of a designer. She has amazing instincts and given time I do believe her technical skills will catch up.

Design Banner for Conference Website
Skills & Quality of Work:
We found that Aliyah's skills were strong and fit what we wanted to accomplish, which was design a graphical banner for a conference. We were able to use the final work product on a public-facing website. Both the first draft and final product were excellent. She was able to come up with her own ideas from a general concept and be creative without being told exactly what to do.
There was only one area where here skills didn't fit, which was making detailed changes to a graphic that we liked but needed some alteration. In her words, she isn't an illustrator. She worked around that by finding an alternate graphic that worked, but it did add delay to the project, which was nearly done at that point.
Availability & Adherence to Schedule:
The project took a long time, and there were long gaps between drafts. Based on working with other graphic designers, we had planned a week for the project, but the project took over a month. Initially she was selected on September 19 and the final product was delivered on October 25. I accept some responsibility for the delay, but most of the delay was between us submitting feedback and getting the next iteration.
This delay was exacerbated by a two-steps forward, one-step back process, where we would give feedback regarding a specific element on a given draft, only for that element to "backslide" in later drafts and have to be redone, adding unnecessary delay, especially since the time between drafts was measured in days.
Communication & Cooperation:
Here communication skills seemed good. I had no problem understanding her, and she seemed to understand everything we were asking for. But given the gaps in time between drafts, the communication about what we wanted seemed to be forgotten. She seemed to forget past feedback and versions would "regress". Ultimately, we needed to get on the phone with her, as it seemed like communication had broken down and that the project might never get to completion.
Getting it to completion ultimately took much too long, and we found her to be resistant to making changes. After the first draft, she immediately submitted her work for approval and payment, which I've never seen anyone do, and we've completed over 100 contracts on UpWork. We ultimately paid 4x the amount of the original budget to get it over the finish line. She seemed like she wanted to wash her hands of the project as soon as possible from the first draft onwards.
TLDR:
Great skills and communication, but low availability to work on projects and seemingly little interest in making updates to her original design to get the job to completion. More interested in providing one draft and getting paid than creating something the client is going to be able to use.
