After retiring from live performance, I was eager to somehow continue using my voice as an expressive tool. I was drawn to voiceover after a poor AI voice was supplied to me for a project that I was working. I replaced the offending voice with my own and I was hooked! With decades of recording experience behind me, I realised that I could grow a new career from his own studio, so I set out to learn how to be a voice artist.
Since then I've served hundreds of happy clients all over the globe, in English and in Welsh, with voiceovers to lend their projects gravitas, depth and emotion.
This year I was delighted to win the One Voice Award for Best Performance in Web/TV Commercial, and I have also had nominations for Best Performance in a Radio Commercial and, at this year's VOX awards, I am nominated for 'Best Human Voiceover Performance on a Visual Broadcast' and 'The Best Male Voiceover Performance of the Year'.
While my voice has covered many aspects of the industry, I especially enjoy scripts that call for a little drama and allow me to explore the full range of my versatility.
