I am a passionate English>Italian translator with extensive experience in audio-visual translation and text localization, specifically subtitle origination for the world's largest movie streaming providers. I have created Italian subtitles for a wide variety of videos, including feature films, original series, sitcoms and comedy, documentaries, reality-tv shows and kids content.
I have a thorough knowledge of the subtitle creation process (spotting, timing to audio, transcription, translation, condensation and reformulation, splitting and merging) and I provide accurate translations that convey both literal and connotative meanings and are consistent in terms of lexical choices, syntactic structures, use of punctuation and use of registers.
I commit to provide clear and readable subtitles that maintain the naturalness of the spoken language while also complying with the guidelines and specified requirements (line treatment, reading speed, characters per line limitations, etc). As a QCer, I can perform thorough checks on existing subtitles to ensure accuracy, consistency and conformance with the specified requirements.
Price is $9.00 per video minute (all fees included).
