I am an engineer, producer, composer, and musician based in Nashville, with 8+ years of experience. I have worked on rock, jazz, folk, and Americana projects, and am open and excited to expand to other genres. I have access to some wonderful microphones, amplifiers, guitars, and outboard gear, making it easy to find the right sound and style for your project.
I will provide you with a high-quality guitar recording, with as little or as much mixing and effects as needed. I can deliver these as a stereo mix, separate guitar and effects stems, or individual multitracks. If you are hoping to work on more than one song, let me know and we can work out different pricing.

Carly is the best. She is my number one choice of person to write guitar for my songs. She knows how to interpret my vision and bring it to life with incredible talent (and an apparent ability to play literally every instrument?). Carly was an absolute pleasure to work with, and I would absolutely recommend her to anyone.

Freelance audio engineer, producer, composer, and musician

While working towards a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music Technology and Film & Television Studies from the University of Vermont, I worked as a live sound engineer mixing shows for over 150 artists, the Head Music Director and weekly radio host for WRUV FM, producer, engineer, and instrumentalist for the band Guest Policy, and composer for a handful of student short films. I then moved down to Nashville, TN to obtain a Master of Science in Audio Engineering from Belmont University. My time in Nashville was an essential part of my professional growth. I spent time in a varied selection of recording studios, continued live sound engineering, worked as assistant engineer and chief engineer for full band and overdub tracking, and continued producing projects for solo artists. Aside from my freelance work in Nashville, I worked as the Assistant Studio Manager, Staff Engineer, and Repair Technician at RCA Studio B. I then relocated to Kingston, NY and have been working as a freelance engineer for multiple studios in the Catskills area.
With a deep love for film, I spend my free time working as a film projectionist, screening both digital and 35mm films, mixing live scores for classic films, and managing the sound requirements for screening discussions and Q&A’s.

Recording
I will record an initial guitar part(s), sending to you when completed. After that, we can exchange thoughts/suggestions for further revisions before landing on the final piece!
Deliverables
After the recording(s) has been approved, I will deliver it in the agreed upon format (WAV, MP3, stereo, stems, multitracks, etc).
