NEVER HIRE MOHIT – WORST EXPERIENCE IN $40K+ SPENT, 150+ HIRES – DISHONEST, UNRELIABLE, AND TWISTS THE TRUTH
REVIEW:
I’ve hired over 150 freelancers on Upwork and spent more than $40,000. This was by far the worst experience I’ve ever had.
If you care about deadlines, communication, and integrity, do not work with Mohit.
Mohit clearly agreed to do this project upfront. I gave him all the details: it was a quick-turnaround client project, I wasn’t getting paid for it, and I laid out exactly what the deliverable needed to include. He gave a thumbs-up and said, “OK sir I will do this.” Based on that commitment, I told my client it would be handled.
After finishing his last job, he told me mine was next. But then multiple excuses started — first he was traveling, then he was sick, and all of it pushed the project back by weeks. Meanwhile, he was sending videos of himself traveling the country. None of it added up.
When we finally reconnected, there were still no hours tracked and no real work done. Even worse, he falsely claimed it wasn’t an hourly contract — even though it always was. When he finally delivered something, it was unusable: a disorganized folder of clips, no XML, no timeline — none of what was requested.
At that point, after missing every deadline, he acknowledged he had “screwed up.” He admitted I wasn’t getting paid and told me he’d finish the job anyway — just to maintain our trust.
Then, after starting again, he suddenly reversed his word and said he wouldn’t do it without being paid. This wasn’t a miscommunication — it was a full breakdown in professionalism and responsibility.
And to be clear: I expect Mohit will try to twist this story in his response. He did the same throughout the process — shifting blame, avoiding responsibility, and rewriting history despite written proof of what was agreed.
He put himself above the project, the client, and the trust I gave him.
