You will get translated Subtitles (English to/from Swedish)

Project details
According to the Act on the Provision of Digital Services and the Web Accessibility Directive, all meaningful content on your website that’s spoken or heard in a video or recording must also be available in a written format. Depending on your target audience, it might be a good idea to include translated subtitles as well in order to make your content even more accessible.

"Carl did a great job translating everything according to the given instructions. He's responsible, attentive to details and pretty quick! Recommend him if you're looking for a good English-Swedish translator!"
A fluent Translation and Localization can be an incredibly effective way to introduce your old content to a new audience. But it's not as easy as you might think.
For example, if you take the Swedish expression “Du är ute på hal is,” the word for word English translation would be “You are out on slippery ice.” This doesn't make any sense if you want to keep the original connotation intact. Instead, a more comprehensive translation could be “You are on a slippery slope.” Although this is not technically ”accurate” if you look at it word for word, it does convey the intention behind the Swedish sentence much better.
There is an artistic aspect to translation. It's not enough to just mechanically change the word in the source language to its cognate in the target language. You need to understand what's behind it. What does the speaker actually mean?
And that is exactly what I do. I have learned to become much more attentive to the artistic aspect of translation in order to make sure that the final result is as human and high quality as possible.
So if you have any English/Swedish content that you would like to share with a Swedish/English audience, please give me a shout!
