Started the contract and agreed on everything, but on the first project, he informed me he cannot make the changes I requested because he would have to pay for a subscription and it was not economically viable for him. He mentioned he would need me to guarantee him more work if he were to subscribe to the software he needed. I felt like a hostage to my own project. It was either more work for him, or no quality at all for me. I was paying better than most for this project. He took the revisions like an attack to his skills, while all I wanted was for my new project to be done impeccably.
