WHAT I DO
Expert editing (senior level) as a copyeditor (grammar, punctuation, and spelling). Line editing (style, sentence structure, meaning and flow) is offered at a higher hourly rate.
Although I live in France, my client base is 100% English-speaking. My editing is done in either British, North American, or Australian English.
WHO DO I WORK WITH
Independent authors and scholars, businesses of all kinds, publishing houses, NGOs, relief agencies, a Nobel Laureate (several times), think tanks, medical or academic research groups, government departments, university departments and faculty members, graduate students, and keynote speakers.
BACKGROUND and EDUCATION
I am a native English speaker (American or British) -- BA, BSc, MA, PhD. An American-born Australian citizen, a past resident of the UK, and now a permanent resident of France, my time zone is PARIS.
My past success rate is clearly visible on my Upwork profile. My feedback includes many examples of full book editing for award-winning authors or ghostwriting/rewriting research papers for NGOs, government offices, and medical schools.
Developmental editing or ghostwriting/rewriting assignments are not offered now. I've adjusted my rate downward to reflect those changes, and I no longer charge $135 - $150 per hour.
