My own wonderful mother passed away of a sudden heart attack at the age of 59. I was the first to find her that fateful afternoon, and the funeral home director requested that I submit her obituary early the following morning. That night was an absolute agony for me, as I tried to push through my grief and put into words what my mother’s life had meant to me and my family and somehow encapsulate the meaning of her life.
