In Spain, there is usually the thought of dividing language studies and scientific studies, with the latter being better regarded. I have always considered this division counterproductive: in a globalised world as the one we live in, scientific studies need translators, writers and editors to publish articles and receive updated information and discoveries.
I have seen doctors in my hospital struggle with their medical research papers or congress presentations due to not being fluent in English. My aim is to contribute to a better understanding and communication through translation.
