I am a pharmaceutical scientist with experience in the fields of oncology, molecular biology, and chemistry. My expertise centers around the molecular basis of cancer and novel avenues for drug discovery and development. I have extensive experience in scientific writing with multiple first author publications in well accredited journals. I am experienced in academia and pharmaceutical industry. In addition, I have had direct exposure to big pharma and start up biotech companies. I am a former biomedical researcher with a knack for writing and an eye for detail. Over the next decade, I performed highly technical heart research, where I discovered a new form of dilated cardiomyopathy and developed and implemented a gene therapy treatment in a mouse model of Duchenne muscular dystrophy. I now work exclusively as a science consultant and freelance writer.

For over five years, I've created blog pieces (both long and short form), web page content, white papers, grant/contract/clinical trial proposals, and marketing materials for my individual and corporate clients in medicine, biotechnology, and associated life sciences. I also analyze tumor genomics and serve as a research consultant. I have worked in the life sciences for many years, primarily concentrating on cell and molecular biology. I hold degrees from Cornell University and UCLA, where I published original work. I inherited an innate talent for understanding mechanisms and a penchant for finding creative solutions to problems.
