In a lot of cases, using WordPress for a simple website is overkill. These websites rarely change and changes are minimal. This is where my node.js solution comes into play. By not using a database, a couple dozen scripts and only the code that is actually required, I am able to achieve performance that would otherwise need a lot of work and potentially a lot of compromise in certain areas.
