Passive Codex Runner The freelancer showed some effort and completed parts of the engagement, including an initial pull request and basic setup guidance for a Browserbase/Codex connection. I paid the milestones that I accepted as completed.

However, I ended the agreement because the freelancer was not a good fit for the actual role that was advertised and accepted. The job post was very clear that this was a passive Codex runner role, not a traditional manual development contract. The task was to run my provided Codex goal prompts on GitHub repositories, allow Codex to work in the background, resume paused runs when needed, and push a commit or pull request for review. The payment terms were also clearly stated in advance.

Despite accepting those terms, the freelancer repeatedly questioned the structure afterward. He challenged whether the payment was enough for the prompt size, described the work as a larger full-stack project requiring proper milestones, and later objected again when a larger follow-up prompt was provided. That was not consistent with the agreement. The role was not priced by manual development scope; it was priced per completed Codex run.

The biggest issue was that I needed autonomous execution, but instead had to keep restating basic terms that were already in the job post. For this kind of workflow, reliability means carefully reading the scope before accepting, then following the instructions without repeatedly trying to renegotiate or reinterpret the contract afterward.

Communication also required more correction than expected. Some wording was too informal for a professional context, and several questions showed that the freelancer had not fully internalized the written requirements. Since the purpose of the role was to reduce my involvement, this created the opposite effect: more clarification, more supervision, and more friction.

My conclusion is that the freelancer may be able to help with small, directly supervised tasks, but I would not recommend him for autonomous Codex runner work, long-running AI-agent workflows, or any role where strict adherence to a written agreement is critical.

I build modern, scalable, and responsive full-stack web applications using the MERN Stack: MongoDB, Express.js, React.js, and Node.js.

My main focus is helping businesses, startups, and product owners turn ideas into clean, functional, and reliable web applications. I work on frontend interfaces, backend APIs, database structure, authentication systems, admin dashboards, client portals, SaaS platforms, and custom web app features.

What I can help you build:

• Full-stack MERN web applications
• React.js frontend interfaces
• Node.js and Express.js backend APIs
• MongoDB database structure
• Admin dashboards and user dashboards
• Authentication and authorization systems
• Role-based access control
• REST API integration
• SaaS-style web platforms
• Responsive and mobile-friendly web apps
• Clean, reusable, and maintainable code

I do not just create pages. I focus on building complete web systems with proper structure, smooth user flow, clean UI, secure backend logic, and scalable architecture.

If you need a MERN Stack developer who can build your web app from frontend to backend with serious attention to detail, I can help you create it properly.
