Project details
The client required a modern and scalable intranet solution within Microsoft 365 to improve internal communication, collaboration, and knowledge sharing across departments including HR, Marketing, Sales, and Learning & Development. The main goal was to replace fragmented communication tools with a centralized SharePoint-based intranet and department-specific sites that provide easy access to documents, announcements, policies, and workflows.
One of the key challenges was organizing content across different departments while maintaining consistent branding and user experience. Each department had unique requirements, for example, HR needed policy management and onboarding resources, Marketing required campaign assets and collaboration spaces, Sales needed quick access to reports and client resources, and the Learning team needed structured training materials and learning paths.
To solve this, I designed a hub-and-spoke SharePoint architecture with a central intranet hub connected to department sites. I implemented custom navigation, permission controls, and dynamic content filtering to ensure users only saw relevant information.
