Looking for UX/UI designer to bring website mockup and prototype to life
Terrible experience. This was a simple task: a design for 2 pages, just HTML and CSS. Wireframes and a screenshot of the expected design were provided. I asked how long it would take, and we agreed on 7 days. Of course, the work was only “completed” on the last day. I requested revisions because it didn’t match the wireframes. Every time he sent the work for review, something was off: components from the wireframes were missing, or didn’t look the way they should. (Funny story, I told him, “I like what you did on page #1, can you do the same on page #2?” He then deleted it from page #1.)
The deadline was Saturday. By Monday, I asked him to send the work so I could close the contract. On Wednesday (!), he sent me a PDF and PNG files. Why would I need that? On Friday (!), I finally received the HTML and CSS. Guess what? It wasn’t even the same as what he’d shown me on Wednesday. How can you call yourself a “senior” if you can’t open what you’ve made, put it next to the reference, and compare?
Update after 3 months. He allowed me to change feedback. Have no idea why... Okay. In response you said 'but later, you requested HTML and CSS files as well'. Well, this is just an evidence you applied for a job without reading requirements. Check job description and specially section "As a result of you work im expecting to get". It was there from the beginning.
Alright I don't want to be too rude. I hope you've learned your lesson. Do you have "an offer I can't refuse"? DM me.
