I bring extensive experience in medical research and the review of medical second opinions across all medical disciplines. I hold MSc degrees in Clinical Chemistry and Medical Microbiology from the Netherlands, as well as an MSc in Human Nutrition from King’s College, University of London. Additionally, I earned a PhD from the University of Maastricht for my medical research. Over the course of my career, I’ve worked as a scientist for a leading Dutch Research Institute and as a Manager Business Development, developing medical products for an American chemical company. In 1996, I founded my own internet company. My professional journey has involved authoring numerous scientific papers, research project proposals, and several popular science books in both Dutch and English. I have 18+ years experience in healthcare. In the Netherlands we have 2 types of nursing education. Both being high level education and both types being Registered Nurses, but only the BSc training in the Netherlands is known in other countries to be at the same level as their Registered Nurses training. I started working in psychiatry when I was 17. Then I did the BScN training in 2 years and after this I worked in hospitals. In here I worked as a RN and also as a Epic Beacon Analyst in the IT department which was a very nice job. The last job in the Netherlands I did was a training on the job function on the Cardiac Catheterization operating room. Which was also a very nice job. In May 2022 we moved abroad to another country. Now the time has come to look for a nice remote, online job that I could do from home. I am currently open to anything as long as it is in an interesting field and preferably relates to healthcare such as medical research. In addition, I am very interested in an online learning trajectory, for example in programming, data science/analysis, healthcare science, medical billing & coding but also marketing/SEO.
