Hello there! My name is Eduardo, and I'm a Brazilian who has been on Upwork for 3 years. I have worked mostly on translations/transcriptions from Portuguese (BR) to English and vice versa, as well as doing general research on the internet. I would say I learn fast and I'm adaptable to whatever is needed, and that has allowed me to work as a general virtual assistant as well. I have good experience working with frequently used tools, such as Excel, google sheets, google docs etc. I have been speaking English for the last 20 years, with a fluent level for the last 15. Other than translating various files, I gave a lot of chess classes to people around the world, so I communicate well verbally too. I am currently engaged on a Ph.D in physics, and I've been studying the subject for the last 15 years. As almost all the books and articles of the field are written in English, that has given me a lot of experience in the language. Even though I stopped giving regular chess classes, my highest FIDE rating was 2100, with a 2290 high in Blitz. My greatest chess accomplishments were in a variant called atomic chess. I became the atomic chess world champion in 2021, in a tournament organized in lichess. My nickname there is fast-tsunami. I still give atomic chess lessons, but my rate for that is a bit higher.
