My translating and interpreting career took off in 1990 when I began informal "on-the-fly" voiceover translation for meetings and conventions between English and Haitian Creole. I am adept in Haitian Creole language grammar, sentence structure, nuances and many local proverbs. My entire time in Haiti, I have been involved with teaching Creole to English-speaking people, as well as teaching illiterate Haitians to read and write their language. I have been one of the principal instructors and the chairman for a public speaking course that is conducted on a weekly basis since 2004 (conducted in Creole). The strength of my translation work is built on a native-level understanding of both source and target languages involved, an appreciation for the importance of correct grammar, spelling and syntax, and an editor with an eye for detail.
